Erin Hanrahan Interior Designer and Owner

Erin is the proud new owner of Hello Kitchen. Cindy and Erin were introduced through a local showroom, where Erin worked as the in-house interior designer. She assisted in bringing several Hello Kitchen projects to life by coordinating material selections and serving as a reliable resource for Cindy’s clients. Through her six years of working at the showroom, Erin developed product awareness and fostered trade connections in and around the Austin area.

Erin earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Texas State University in 2010. Her eye for detail and knowledge of building materials make Erin an exceptional match for the often challenging kitchen renovation.

Cindy Black, Architect Founder

Cindy has focused on the design of houses since graduating from the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture in 2000. After working at several notable Austin architecture firms, Cindy joined her husband Rick in the practice of architecture to design spaces that enhance and elevate the patterns of living. Through the years, Rick & Cindy Black Architects has established a reputation for thoughtful houses designed to fit in central Austin neighborhoods.

In 2008 Cindy developed a business concept that would allow her to stay engaged with architecture while also spending time at home with her one-year old son: Hello Kitchen would function as a creative outlet for smaller scale design projects and integrate with her other passion, home cooking. Since its inception, Hello Kitchen has consulted with over two hundred clients, and its projects have been recognized by Country Living, Austin Monthly Home, Fine Homebuilding, Houzz, and Trends magazines. Cindy is thrilled to pass the torch to someone as skilled, personable and responsible as Erin Hanrahan, and looks forward to seeing how Hello Kitchen will evolve.
